Shetkari Shikshan Prasarak Mandal, Ashti, Dist. Beed was established in 1982 by the great visionary, Honourable M.L.A., Mr. Bhimrao Dhonde. It is a Society / Trust registered under the Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860 and rule 29 of Trust Act, 1950 respectively. The Institution is committed to bring about comprehensive development of Ashti Taluka. Ashti has always remained a drought-prone taluka. Geographically, it comes in rain-shadow region. Poverty, unemployment and scarcity of water are the permanent problems of this taluka. The Founder of the Institution took initiative in social activities and made up his mind to change the entire outlook of Ashti Taluka. For this purpose, the Institution came into existence. The motto of the Institution is “Education for All.” Today, the Institution manages many secondary and higher secondary schools, degree colleges and professional colleges in and around Ashti Taluka. Although situated in rural background, these schools and colleges have been imparting quality education to the economically and socially marginalized students who are mostly first generation learners
